A relatively young guitar company, Taylor Guitars came into being in 1974 when young Bob Taylor and a couple others purchased Sam Radding’s guitar shop, where they worked.

Today Taylor acoustics are considered to be among the finest available. Their main factory, near San Diego in California, and another in Mexico employ a combined 700 people and the company has earned awards for their business and environmental practices.

Innovative Neck Design

Taylor Guitars was the first to introduce a neck for acoustic guitars that ran under the fretboard past the point where it joined the body. The NT neck results in a stronger, more stable fretboard that doesn’t develop a hump at the 14th fret (where acoustic necks traditionally end).

If you are in the market for a fine acoustic guitar, join the likes of Rascal Flatts, Jason Mraz, Don Felder and John Petrucci who have found something to treasure in the fine instruments from Taylor Acoustics.
