I don't do too many non-functional pieces of art, but every now and then the mood strikes me. This piece is a hardboard and golf leaf. It's called Woman is the Machine. It's 55" tall by 15" wide. It's currently in my Functional Forms show. It will be in the Southern Oregon Art Show in August at the Grants Pass Museum of Art.

If I can get it done, I have another piece going into the same show. But it may not happen... we'll see... too much to do. I'm also working on a really nice jewelry box for a client (Hello Kevin and Jennifer, hope the move is going okay). I'll make sure I post the pics when that's done, probably the first part of August.

Oh yeah, and one more thing... I'm working on a design for a new guitar I may start building. I thought this would be the perfect place to let that little secret "leak" out. We'll see how it goes. I think all this talking about guitars has finally inspired me to get back into it a little. But I'm taking it slow. I want to do it alongside my artwork, not in place of. It was always another canvas for me... I just got tired of it for awhile. I'll keep you posted on both matters... right here at Modern Guitars.
