"The powers that be" must be crazy! They've let me loose with my own column here on Modern Guitars Magazine! And they tell me I can do what I want, so be prepared for anything. Mostly mundane ramblings, but also the occasional slice of inspired genius. Who knows - I'm sure I'll get into the swing of things after a little while. Feel free to ask me questions, give me ideas for this column, and generally become a part of it.

I hope I can offer something to other guitarists and/or music lovers out there. If you want to talk about augmented minor 9ths and the tone of a piece of New Guinea Poplar Wood, then I might not be the guy. If you want to discuss how much Never Mind The Bollocks changed the face of music, then I am right here. You get my point.

Anyway, it's great to be here and as long as they let me ramble on, I'll stay. And bear with me - I'm figuring this out as I go along. I'm sure pics, MP3s and all kinds of other stuff will appear down the road.
