When I last checked in, I mentioned my jam-packed fall calendar. I really wasn’t joking! Since I last wrote, Daisy Rock has been to Winter NAMM, Summer NAMM, X Games, and Girl Rock Camps all across the country to support our future women in rock. My world has been spinning, and I’m lovin’ every moment.

This year Daisy Rock continued to create guitars that fit today’s female form and style - meanwhile keeping all the things that make them Girl Guitars; The slim-neck profiles, the light-weight construction, and the inspiring designs. We tried to find new ways to incorporate today’s female style with the Daisy Rock features to bring the hottest guitars, and I’m proud of what we designed.

Our electric Siren Guitars offer a unique style with the highest quality fittings, including D’Addario strings and Grover tuners, and our Butterfly: Jumbo Acoustic-Electric offers a twist on the classic acoustic guitar style with beautiful butterfly inlays and a rich bubinga finish for a great tone.

And for those of you out there like me, who have a special love for the bass, I thought about you too. Our Rock Candy Diamond Sparkle Bass looks sick on stage and features Grover tuners and Select by EMG pickups. But that’s not all of them. Go to Daisy Rock to see all our new models.

Personally, I’ve continued to stay true to all the things that made me create Daisy Rock in the first place eight years ago - do whatever it takes to help girls play guitar and enjoy music. I had an incredible time this summer traveling to girl rock camps all over North America. These rock camps reached thousands of girls this summer. They taught them everything a young woman needs to know in order to make it as a musician – from basic instrument instruction to a final performance where the campers rocked out on stage with their original songs. It was an amazing opportunity to sit down with the girls and teach them strumming, picking, and right- and left-hand techniques.

When I was learning bass, I didn’t have the opportunity to be mentored by other female musicians, and I wish I had. I think it’s really important for seasoned female musicians to pass their knowledge on to our new generation of women rockers. Their potential is infinite, and our assistance and guidance can do so much good for their confidence in playing as well as their knowledge.

To be a part of these camps was very special, and I am glad that Daisy Rock was able to help these camps by donating guitars to make sure the campers had the equipment they need to jam. Some of the camps we were involved with include: Day Jams, Rocker Girl Camp, The Petersburgh Rock Camp for Girls, Willie Mae Rock Camp, Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp for Girl in Portland Oregon, Girl’s Rock Philly’s Music Camp, Girls Rock DC and more.

While I was at those camps, I took the time to sit back and think about how far Daisy Rock and girl guitars have come in recent years, and I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished. With each passing year, more girls have the ability to play guitars and enjoy music, which inspires them to make their dreams come true, and Daisy Rock continues to make sure we’re doing everything possible to make that happen.

We’ve even created a special catalog of instruments just for these little rockers called the Debutante line, and I am really excited about the launch. There are fun shapes such as stars, hearts, butterflies and daisies as well as entire electric guitar starter packs, which include everything a girl needs to get started, from the guitar to the picks, amp and an instructional DVD made just for girls.

These girls are our future, and it’s our responsibility to make sure the future is in good hands. Our Debutante line starts girls on the right track. Check out Debutante models we have to offer.

What’s next for me and Daisy Rock? Well, definitely not rest!

We are going to continue to push forward and reach more females than ever before. Next summer, we hope to participate in more rock camps, and soon, we’ll be launching our 2009 line of guitars. Not to mention, we constantly update our new YouTube channel, Daisy Rock MySpace and Debutante MySpace, so females everywhere can connect with each other to keep girl rock alive!

Until Next Time …
