Hey everyone, thanks for checking in. I can't wait to tell you about this show - a top notch performance by New Soul Underground with guest appearances by guitarists Larry Carlton and Kirk Fletcher (Fabulous Thunderbirds).

But first, I have to thank the man that made it happen, Howie Silverman. He introduced me to Steve at Cafe Boogaloo. While I was checking out the place, where the best of the best musicians go to make one stop in California while in the middle of their world tours, and making arrangements to try out a live painting performance to a mardi gras party with Eric Lindell, guitarist Jake Eckert of New Soul Underground asked me to sit in and paint a live portrait of their special guest, Larry Carlton.

Wow, what a show! My brushes were moving and grooving unlike any other brushstroke beofre, totally in the moment and no time to fix any mistakes, if there were any!

Meanwhile, the next special guest to take the stage with New Soul Underground was hovering over my canvas watching every brushstroke while listening to every note being played. I later found out he was Kirk Fletcher of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. He put on an excellent performance too!
