Skinnie Magazine Fall Fest  (November 7, 2005)

Hey how's it hangin'? Yes there have been many show I have been painting at before and after this one I'm about to tell ya about. Anyway, Skinnie Magazine put this event on.

The line up included Kotton Mouth Kings, Pepper, and Bad Religion. Hot chicks, cool people and a rad time, I would Like to thank Skinnie Magazine and Pepper (or http://www.myspace.com/pepperlive) for having me paint.

Wow, I had never heard of Pepper before and they were down to have me paint at their performance onstage with them so after finaly confirming everything with everyone it was going to happen so my friend Steve S. gave me some mp3s of Pepper and I was stoaked after listening and then realy looking forward to painting to their music.

During their performance I was painting like no tomorrow and Kaleo comes over and pulls a paintbrush out of my styrofoam head (you can see it in the photos below) and starts painting on me while I'm painting, then Bret comes over at one point in the performance and starts humping my easle, I think cuz I looked like I was humping my easle while I was painting, then i look over and he is in the air jamming on the bass while I'm jamming on the canvass.

Here is a short part from their bio:

Over the past few years Pepper has been able to hone their skills as songwriters and recording artists. As harder influences such as Nirvana, Black Sabbath, and Pantera are incorporated into their already well developed reggae-rock roots, Pepper is beginning to explore new ground stylistically.

And as their fan base spreads, sales of “In With The Old”, as well as the two previous albums, continue to increase. Pepper also began a record label of their own, LAW Records as a vehicle to promote music they believe in and love. The first official release was a re-release of their first album entitled “Give-n- It”, a collaboration with CornerstoneRAS. The second is aptly named “Afta Party” and features tracks by a group of MC's from their hometown of Kailua-Kona , Hawaii as well as a few guest appearances by PEPPER. Be on the look out for future releases from LAW Records, as this is just the beginning!
