Guitarist Steve Howe will appear this summer with both YES and Asia when the two groups embark on a joint North American tour June 26 at the Fantasy Springs Cason in Indio, California. The tour wraps on August 2 at Muskfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with 22 dates in between (see current schedule below). “This is a monumental event and even though it will be a challenge, I am up for it,” says Howe.

The tour's YES lineup presents long-time YES associated members Howe, Chris Squire (bass), and Alan White (drums) with vocalist Benoit David (discovered on the Internet while he was a member of a YES tribute band in the vein of Journey's recent vocalist recruitement) and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman (son of Rick Wakeman), both of whom joined the group in 2008. The set list is reported to include both YES classics such as “Roundabout,” “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” “I’ve Seen All Good People” and “Yours Is No Disgrace,” and less often performed titles such as “Machine Messiah” and “Siberian Khatru.”

Asia's lineup features all four original members: Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes (a former YES member), drummer Carl Palmer (ELP) and bassist-guitarist-vocalist John Wetton (King Crimson and UK). After 23 years apart, this original lineup reformed in 2006 and has since released the album Phoenix and conducted four world tours.
