Daisy Rock Girl Guitars is excited to announce that ‘Rockabilly’ queen Wanda Jackson will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this Saturday April 4, 2009, in Cleveland Ohio. To be eligible for nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an act must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. After being selected for nomination once before, this year artists and industry executives alike casted their vote to show that Jackson’s induction is long overdue.

The epitome of women empowerment in music, Wanda Jackson is one of the original pioneers of ‘Rockabilly.’ Her raw vocals, brazen melodies, and overall spirit have influenced many musicians over the years; she has helped shape today’s sound of modern music. Her songs have stood the test of time, and Wanda continues to impress a new wave of rockabilly fans with her live shows and stage presence.

As one of the first endorsees of Daisy Rock Guitars, Wanda Jackson exclusively plays the Pink Burst Wildwood Artist Acoustic/Electric guitar. To celebrate her induction announcement, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars created a special Wanda Jackson Signature Guitar for her to play at the Rock and Roll Hall ceremony. Attendees had a special opportunity to see an ‘Evening with Wanda Jackson’ at the Agora last night, as well as catch a glimpse of her custom signature Daisy Rock Guitar.

All inductees are ultimately represented in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland , Ohio . The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. It carries out this mission both through its operation of a world-class museum that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets this art form and through its library and archives as well as its educational programs.
