In the next installment of the "GC Sessions" series, Guitar Center welcomes guitar virtuoso JOHN 5 for a series of exclusive in-store events. John 5 will be sharing his experiences, discussing his new signature Fender Telecaster and showcasing his brand of crunching metal & Delta dynamite pickin’ techniques as he performs songs from his newly released album, REQUIEM.

Developed to promote players with a deep passion for and commitment to the craft, Guitar Center Sessions is a music education-based, artist-centric initiative developed to educate, inspire and conserve the tradition and art of music, Featuring informative, provocative discussions and hands-on tutorials from today’s top artists, GC Sessions serves as an incubator for musicians, providing them with an opportunity to network with their peers and gain insight and knowledge from their heroes in a comfortable and intimate setting.

John 5 is a new breed of shred mastery, creating a worldwide following as a widely respected guitarist with such platinum artists as Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth, Rob Halford and now an integral member of Rob Zombie. John 5 is continually retained to write for music greats such as Meatloaf and Lynyrd Skynyrd just to name a few. While playing with famed guitar guru Les Paul in New York, Paul gave John 5 some good old-fashioned advice. He told the player to venture out with his monster playing ability and go solo. Influenced by Les Paul's advice, John 5 is unleashing solo project after solo project.

As part of the GC Sessions, Guitar Center has the honor of hosting John 5's only public appearances scheduled in the US for 2008. Guitar Center will also be celebrating the release of REQUIEM and John 5's new instructional DVD The Devil Knows My Name.

GC Sessions: John 5 is presented by Guitar Center with the support of Fender, Hal Leonard and GHS strings.

More information on this and other events is available at: www.guitarcenter.com/sessions.
