Albert Lee

If you love country guitar, then the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance has just the thing for you; an unmissable weekend of pickin’ heaven featuring the legendary Albert Lee. Participants on this fantastic 2-day programme (May 31 and June 1) will learn new tips, tricks and skills in classes and workshops with the Institute’s very own country guitar experts Lee Hodgson, Dario Cortese and Andy Saphir. And there will be plenty of opportunity to put the learning straight into practice in live band workshops and jam sessions in some of the best teaching and performing facilities in London.

Special guest and Musicman endorsee Albert Lee will be joining the second day of the programme for an exclusive, personalised masterclass – an opportunity to get up close and personal to a real legend!

The weekend is aimed at intermediate-level players who love country guitar. Don’t miss this unique chance to jam and play with like-minded players whilst learning from one of the masters and originators of the hot country genre.

Course dates are May 31st – June 1st; contact the Institute now to reserve your place.

It now offers a range of professional courses including a 3-year Degree (BMus), a fully-funded one year Diploma, a specialist one year Higher Diploma, plus a wide portfolio of part-time courses designed to meet a variety of training needs for guitarists, bass players, drummers and vocalists. Past or present Institute students can be found everywhere, touring with the likes of Katie Melua and Moby, playing with bands like Radiohead and Babyshambles and artists like K. T. Tunstall and Beverley Knight, and also working as teachers all over the world.
