April 11, 2008The Jammy Awards Announce 7th Jammy Awards LineupPress release The Jammy Awards will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and at the Madison Square Garden Box Office. For more information go to Jammys.com. In addition to the Co-Hosts, Warren Haynes and Grace Potter, the 7th Jammy Awards are pleased to announce that the following artists will perform: Booker T. Jones, Christian McBride, Fab Faux, Galactic, Glenn Tillbrook of Squeeze, HeadCount All-Stars, Jake Cinninger of Umphrey's McGee, James Carter, Joe Russo, Jon Gutwillig, Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, Los Lonely Boys, Marc Brownstein, Matisyahu, Page McConnell, Rose Hill Drive, Sharon Jones, Tea Leaf Green and Todd Park Mohr. "We're ecstatic with the initial Jammys lineup. The level of musicianship and the community of artists coming together at the Jammy Awards is something that we're all proud of," says Jonathan Schwartz, Jammys Producer. "From Booker T. and Sharon Jones to Galactic and Page McConnell, this year is stacked." Produced by Relix Magazine, Jambands.com, and Peter Shapiro, The Jammys has become one of New York City's premiere events and one of the top grassroots music events in the world, hosting countless historic musical moments, and drawing international acclaim for pairing the stars of the improvisational music scene with leading artists from across the musical spectrum.
