Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats to Perform in L.A. on April 16

Los Angeles-based instrumental all-star quartet, CHAD SMITH'S BOMBASTIC MEATBATS, featuring RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith, guitarist Jeff Kollman (COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES), bassist Kevin Chown (UNCLE CRACKER, TED NUGENT), and keyboardist Ed Roth (GLENN HUGHES, RONNIE MONTROSE), have scheduled a Wednesday, April 16 warm-up show at Life (NW corner of Wilshire & Crescent Heights), 6311 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048 (Ph.: 323-651-5433) before embarking on their tour of Japan which is set to kick off on April 21. The group is scheduled to perform at the following venues in Japan:

The MEATBATS' upcoming 11-song debut CD is finished and due out later this spring. Recorded analog and live in the studio in a mere two days, the disc was co-produced by the band and Jono Brown. Songs include 'Need Strange', 'Battle For Ventura Blvd', 'Night Sweats', 'Big Feet', 'Lola', and 'Roller Girl.'
