Velvet Revolver and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash recently visited the Gibson Guitar Showroom in London to celebrate the launch of three limited edition Slash signature guitars - two from Gibson and one from Epiphone - that will be released worldwide on April 1, 2008. Gibson's Custom division has created the Slash Inspired By VOS (Vintage Old Stock) model, while Gibson USA will release a Slash Les Paul Standard and Epiphone a Slash Les Paul Standard Plus model. “I have always been a Les Paul player and am very proud to have my own range produced by Gibson and Epiphone, the maker of the world’s greatest guitars. I hope that musicians around the world enjoy them as much as I do,” says Slash.

The limited edition models will be available from select retail dealers (visit www.gibson.com for a list) around the world on April 1 at 5 p.m. US EDT and, according to Gibson, once sold out, they will not be reproduced. “Slash embodies the true essence and spirit of rock 'n’ roll. He is a master of his craft and respected the world over. Gibson is proud to partner with one of the worlds greatest guitar players. His signature range of guitars is symbolic and a true testament to his status and global recognition,” comments Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. “I expect these limited edition run of guitars to sell out soon after they arrive in stores globally on 1st April 2008.”
