This year's event will be held on May 23, 24 and 25 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois, just 20 miles north of Peoria. The Summer Camp 2008 Music Festival will feature over 45 bands performing on four stages, plus late night shows, daily musician workshops, on-site camping, great food and drink, all kinds of good beer, unique merchandise vending and all the friends you've come to expect! With many new additions and improvements, including the addition of a second main stage and improved greening initiatives to lessen the carbon footprint of the event, this year's Summer Camp will surely be the best festival in the Midwest! 2008 will be the eighth year of the Summer Camp Music Festival.

The Summer Camp Music Festival was started in 2001 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. The first year's attendance was around 1,000 people and hosted over 20 bands on 2 stages over the course of two days. Since that first year, the Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 10,000 attendees, hosting more than 45 bands on 4 stages over 4 days. Almost doubling the population of Chillicothe, IL, for the weekend, the concert attendees also greatly impact the local business economy.
