This book is designed in the same format with 608 pages including the 16-page color Photo Grading System and reference information on more than 400 guitar amplifier manufacturers and distributors including names like Fender, Marshall, Ampeg, Vox, and many more. Special features include hundreds of intricate images, a detailed guitar amplifier dating section, and a Trademark Index listing all current contact information for manufacturers. For the computer savvy, the new Blue of Guitar Amplifiers on CD-ROM, 3rd Edition combines all of the information in the book and includes the Photo Grading System, as well as many PDF files including Amp Dating Tools, House Brand/Budget Brand explanations, and the Trademark Index.

Larry Meiners’ hit 2001 publication was so popular he teamed up with Blue Book author Zachary Fjestad for a second edition. Expanded to 104 pages, features include the history of the Flying V, detailed descriptions of all Gibson and Epiphone Flying Vs produced through 2007, an exclusive eight-page color section of Flying Vs, new chapters on Epiphone and other Flying V copies, and more than 40 pages of Flying V specifications and identifying tools.
