The Jammy Awards return to The Theater at Madison Square Garden on May 7, 2007, with this year's ceremony featuring the presentation of a special Lifetime Achievement Award to jamband icon, Phish. “We are extremely proud to present our Lifetime Achievement Award to Phish,” says Jammys Executive Producer and Co-Creator Peter Shapiro. “Few bands have meant as much to the improvisational music community as they have, so celebrating their career is something that is a natural thing for us to do.”

Produced by Relix Magazine, Jambands.com and Peter Shapiro, 2007 marks the seventh year of the popular alternative to mainstream awards shows that pays homage to artists on the improvisational music scene. The Jammy shows have also provided artists from different genres the opportunity to unite on stage in unique collaborations, such as Ryan Adams and Phil Lesh, Sinead O'Connor and Burning Spear, Béla Fleck & the Flecktones with McCoy Tyner and Savion Glover, Travis Tritt and the Disco Biscuits, and Peter Frampton and Guster.

The performers for this year’s concert and this year’s award nominees will be announced in the coming weeks. The award categories include: Album of the Year; Song of the Year; DVD of the Year; Download of the Year; Best New Artist; Tour of the Year; Live Show of the Year; and Archival Release of the Year.

Tickets to the event go on sale at noon EST on March 20 via Ticketmaster and at the Madison Square Garden Box Office.
