Chelan High School Students

Chelan High School Students

Daisy Rock is pleased to team up with dedicated teachers at Chelan High School in Chelan, Washington, to support students devoted to learning and playing guitar. Daisy Rock remains devoted to their mission of providing females with whatever it takes to learn to play guitar and enjoy music.

The small town of Chelan is not one to be overlooked. Booming with summertime tourists and boasting an array of orchards and vineyards, the community can be described as both tight-knit and forward-thinking. So when various teachers at local Chelan High School got together and decided they would institute an advisory program to make sure their youth were both well-educated and highly-motivated, it seemed inevitable that they would have to incorporate music into their curriculum. The students were given the option to study an instrument of their choice, and they unanimously chose guitar. Humble math teacher Marty Rothlisberger spearheaded the program, seeking instruments for students so they would have access to their own guitars for lessons and practice. It was then that Daisy Rock came on board, providing acoustic guitars for the purpose of lessons, practice, and of course pleasure.

“I have played guitar for years, and I love giving lessons to these students,” remarks Rothlisberger. “When the program started, few of them had guitars of their own. It is difficult to learn an instrument without this kind of access; I believe daily practice is crucial. With the help of Daisy Rock, we are pleased to announce that Chelan High School students are learning to play music and more importantly filtering their newfound joy and confidence into every aspect of their daily lives.”

“Daisy Rock is always enthused to get involved in projects like these,” responded founder Tish Ciravolo. “We are not just a company, we are a message. We want to get guitars into the hands of youth everywhere, male and female, and it is always gratifying when we know we can help change the lives of high school students through music. I wish those at Chelan High School the utmost success.”

Daisy Rock Guitars is pleased to be able to sponsor programs like the one at Chelan High School. To learn more about Daisy Rock’s mission and to view Daisy Rock’s entire line of guitars, visit daisyrock.com.
