Three New Guitar Instructional DVD Titles in the Acoustic Masterclass Series from Alfred and Solid Air Records

Alfred and Solid Air Records are pleased to present three all-new DVDs in the Acoustic Masterclass series. Rich in both instructional content and entertainment value, Celtic Guitar Solos, Tunes & Techniques stars legendary fingerstyle guitar player Steve Baughman, while Understanding DADGAD and Building Repertoire and Composing & Arranging for Solo Guitar feature renowned acoustic soloist Laurence Juber.

A pioneering Celtic fingerstyle guitar player, Steve Baughman has toured, recorded, and taught extensively throughout the world. Author of five guitar books and named one of the world’s 100 best guitarists, his Solid Air Records CD, The Angels Portion, landed on Digital Dream Door’s list of the “100 Greatest Acoustic Guitar Albums,” while his Celtic Guitar Summit CD was selected as Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s editor’s pick. In Celtic Guitar Solos, Tunes & Techniques, Baughman performs a wide selection of dance tunes and ballads and demonstrates his technique in detail with step-by-step demonstrations. The DVD is filmed in High-Definition with exclusive multi-angle viewing and features 12 songs total with 57 pages of TAB notation on PDF.

Two-time Grammy winner and former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney and Wings, Laurence Juber is the premier solo acoustic guitarist of his generation. Juber ranks as Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine’s “Guitarist of the Year,” as well as one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s top guitarists of all time. Understanding DADGAD and Building Repertoire is designed for guitar players wishing to expand their horizons and explore the versatile tuning of DADGAD by using well-known songs to produce memorable arrangements. The DVD features songs such as “Amazing Grace,” “Greensleeves,” and many more, with an insightful explanation by Juber of the benefits of altered tuning for solo guitarists. The succeeding DVD in the Acoustic Guitar Essentials series, Composing & Arranging Solo Guitar, goes on to feature a half dozen of Juber’s most exciting compositions, including “PCH,” “Liquid Amber,” and more. Juber walks viewers through each tune step-by-step, discussing the reasons for his musical choices as composer and the technique needed to make these tunes musical in performance. Each DVD is filmed in High-Definition, with multi-angle viewing for close-ups and side views, plus TAB notation in PDF form.

Celtic Guitar Solos, Tunes & Techniques, Understanding DADGAD and Building Repertoire: Acoustic Guitar Essentials Volume 2, and Composing & Arranging Solo Guitar: Acoustic Guitar Essentials Volume 3 are now available for $29.95 each.
