Queen guitarist Brian May made a special appearance at London's Hard Rock Café on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, for a screening of an edited version of Queen's new Rock Montreal DVD, which captures the group's performances on November 24 and 25, 1981, at the Montreal Forum. May, speaking at the London screening, spoke about Queen's extreme dissatisfaction with the film as originally presented by producer/director Saul Swimmer (originally marketed as We Will Rock You and released on VHS in 1984). Queen acquired the rights to the film last year and it has since been re-edited and remixed, giving birth to the new Rock Montreal DVD. A draft of Brian May's speech at the screening can be read on his website.

While at London's Hard Rock Café, May also donated rare pieces of memorabilia to the Hard Rock's famous collection, which is managed by Don Bernstine.
