Avenged Sevenfold, the self-titled second release from Avenged Sevenfold, is set for release by Warner Bros. Records on October 30, 2007, and will be available in the new interactive MVI format. The MVI, which stands for Music Video Interactive, is available alongside traditional compact discs and offers the full album in pre-encoded digital music files that are easily loaded into any media player. In addition, the Avenged Sevenfold release will include a bonus CD, The Making of Avenged Sevenfold documentary, The Making of Avenged Sevenfold animated short, a studio tour, “Producer for a Day” contest winner footage, a ringtone mixer, Instant Messenger icons and interactive album updates.

The debut major-label album from Avenged Sevenfold, 2005's City Of Evil, earned gold (over 817,000 copies sold to date), shot to Top 30 Pop and won the band Best New Artist at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. For their self-titled follow-up, the band gets even harder and heavier. Avenged Sevenfold, the group's first album to be self-produced, is head-banging heaven.
