Gov't Mule

Gov't Mule

With over 1,000,000 Gov't Mule albums sold to date and over 1,000,000 downloads sold through Mule.net, Gov't Mule is one of the most successful and respected bands in the world. The band is known for their jaw-dropping performances and their trademark high-energy rock 'n roll. Gov't Mule's influences range from reggae, folk, blues, soul and jazz -- and with such varied influences, it will be no surprise to fans that the Mule has gone dub.

ATO Records is proud to release Gov't Mule's Mighty High on Tuesday, October 16. The recording features dub remixes of several tracks from Gov't Mule's acclaimed 2006 release High & Mighty, as well as dub versions of "I'm A Ram", The Band's "The Shape I'm In", and Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle". Some tracks were recorded in the studio while others were taken from Gov't Mule's 2006 New Year's Eve concert at the Beacon Theatre. Guest musicians include reggae/dub legend "Toots" Hibbert, Willi Williams, Michael Franti and Gordie Johnson. Mighty High was produced by Warren Haynes and Gordie Johnson. Johnson mixed.

Following tours of Europe and Asia, Gov't Mule headlined Jazz Aspen on Labor Day weekend and hosted their annual Rockin' The Burro II Concert September 6 in Central Park. Other headlining dates this fall include Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA, Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA and two nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA.
