The Redwalls Confirm Tour with Polyphonic Spree & Rooney, New Album in October

Press release
Source: Big Hassle Media

The Redwalls are pleased to join Polyphonic Spree and Rooney for a 25-date tour beginning October 14th in Pontiac, MI. The Chicago-based quartet, which Billboard Magazine proclaimed as a band "headed for greatness" will be touring in support of their upcoming self-titled album. An album, which cross-pollinates their UK inspired roots with American rock and pop influences that span from the 1950's to the present, The Redwalls will be released October 23rd on Mad Dragon Records (Ryko/WEA), the only independent, student-run faculty administered record label in the country. Mad Dragon Records is based out of Drexel University in PA. The band will embark on a headlining tour of the states beginning early December. Dates to come.

In just 40 days, the band recorded their new album and replaced the layered tracks of their previous release, the critically acclaimed De Nova, with meticulous and stripped down R&B pop and rock mixed with the barrelhouse energy of their live show. Hardly abandoning the pleasures of their debut, The Redwalls maintains the rambunctious ass shaking stomp, raucous energy and soul and garage-punk attitude that was praised by, among others, Entertainment Weekly, Paste, Filter, People Magazine, Nylon, Performing Songwriter, Guitar Player, and MTV who featured the band as a "You Hear It First" artist.

The Redwalls is the most ambitious endeavor the band has partaken to date, expanding on sonic territories and giving the listener an intoxicating blend of melody and attitude.
