Jimmy Bruno Guitar Institute Undergoes Technology Overhaul and Expansion

Press release
Source: Jazz Promo Services

Already an Internet phenomenon, the Jimmy Bruno Guitar Institute (JBGI) announces major enhancements to its initial offering. Bruno has expanded the JBGI's already extensive lesson material by 30%, to include even more advanced jazz guitar techniques and supplemental improvisation content. Jimmy has posted over 60 "Master Classes" (student submitted videos with Jimmy's commentary). Also, all JBGI students have been supercharged with the "JBGI Video Uploader", a dramatically improved way for students to upload their videos directly to Bruno. The ever- popular "Tune Analysis" section of the JBGI continues to grow, with Bruno demonstrating how to apply his method to such timeless classics as "Blue Bossa" and "On Green Dolphin Street." The JBGI is also home to a growing archival of Bruno performance material, interviews, and much more.

Response Shatters Expectations
Launched on May 22 with very little fanfare, JBGI enrollments dramatically exceeded all expectations. Staff knew something was up when it discovered that even before the official launch, eager students had "hacked" into the site to be the first to have access to Bruno's new approach to jazz guitar education. The JBGI had to add additional server capacity four times as the fast growing body of students clamored to learn Jimmy's "no nonsense" jazz guitar method. Now, with hundreds of students from over 37 countries around the world, Jimmy Bruno is poised to become the most influential jazz guitar teacher in history.

It's The Method
Different than any other Internet music instruction, the Jimmy Bruno Guitar Institute is unique in that a world-wide acknowledged jazz master spent thousands of hours to record and make available on the Internet his entire method. "My students will never outgrow this site" is Bruno's promise to his students. Nothing is held back. 97% of students who initially enrolled have already renewed. "It just works" is a common statement from heard from Bruno's online students.

Virtual "Master Classes "Prove Popular
JBGI students, after working on the material assigned during JBGI lessons, make video recordings of themselves playing the material, and send them to Bruno to review. Using the new "JBGI Video Uploader," students effortlessly transfer their video to Bruno at the fastest possible Internet speed. Bruno reviews each video and responds with further instruction, commentary and new assignments. Staff has been added to make it possible for Bruno to respond to every student with a video for all to see and learn. The huge repository of JBGI Master Classes is an invaluable learning tool for all JBGI students, who learn from Bruno and from each other.
