Leatherwolf

Leatherwolf 2007. L-R: Geoff Gayer (g), Carey Howe (g), Michael Olivieri (v/g), Dean Roberts (dr)

Legendary Orange County, CA metal band Leatherwolf have announced their first European dates since reuniting with original lead vocalist/guitarist Michael Olivieri and guitarist Carey Howe earlier in the year. The reconvened Triple Axe Attack will be headlining Germany's Keep It True Festival and are playing an additional half dozen select dates in Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy.

"We are very much looking forward to playing Europe again after doing the Bang Your Head!! Festival last summer and we would like to thank all the promoters who are putting their faith in us on rather short notice", states guitarist Geoff Gayer. " We're just coming off our first show with Mike and Carey back and it was amazing how natural it felt to play together again so we'll definitely be ready to kick some serious ass for all our European friends. The setlist will include a good cross section of songs from all the Leatherwolf albums, everything from 'Spiter' and 'Kill And Kill Again' to 'Gypsies and Thieves,' 'Wicked Ways,' 'Behind the Gun' and 'The Grail,' so everybody, old school and new school, should be going away happy. Can't wait!"

Confirmed Europe tour dates are as follows:

Nov. 01 - Underworld Club, Athens, Greece
Nov. 02 - Cult Club, Thessaloniki, Greece
Nov. 03 - Keep It True IX Festival, Dittigheim, Germany
Nov. 04 - Dynamo Club, Eindhoven, Holland
Nov. 05 - De Rots, Antwerpen, Belgium
Nov. 07 - Rock City, Uster, Switzerland
Nov. 08 - Black Horse, Cermenate, Italy

In related news, Leatherwolf's acclaimed 2006 studio comeback album, World Asylum, featuring Crimson Glory vocalist Wade Black, has just been released by Dynamo Productions for the South American market. A re-worked version, titled New World Aslyum, with returning frontman Michael Olivieri on lead vocals and Carey Howe on additional lead guitar, is scheduled for an early fall release via the band's NIL8 label. Danish studio whiz Jacob Hansen (Rob Rock, Volbeat, Communic) is once again handling mixing duties. A Hansen rough mix of the track "Behind The Gun" can currently be heard on the band's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/leatherwolfmusic.
