"The FADER" and Southern Comfort Introduce Limited-Edition 7-Inch Featuring Busy P and DJ Blaqstarr

Press release
Source: Cornerstone

The FADER magazine, the definitive voice of emerging music, and Southern Comfort announce the fourth installment in the series of limited-edition 7-inch vinyl releases curated by the editors of The FADER. Due to the overwhelming success of the four pressings, The FADER and Southern Comfort are currently planning another batch of 7-inches for 2008. This rare pressing of only 500 copies will also be accessible to readers of The FADER, as they have a chance to win the exclusive recordings online at thefader.com.

Previous releases in the series have included match-ups with the likes of indie stars M Ward and Ladyhawk, dancehall masters Busy Signal and Mavado as well as no-limit rockers Black Lips and YACHT. Continuing their tradition of showcasing emerging artists, The FADER and Southern Comfort are spinning out the 2007 series with the musical stylings of Ed Banger DJ Busy P and 410 area code aficionado DJ Blaqstarr.

Pedro Winter AKA Busy P kicks off the 45 with "Pedrophilia." In true Parisian fashion, the track's electrophonic attitude sways with a sleek haute couture. The beat's solid three-minute rhythmic soundscape pulsates with a heavy kick countered by the track's only lyric: "BUSY P" stitching together form and function. Flipping the wax gives way to DJ Blaqstarr with his dance ready "I Can Feel It In The Air." Driving beats and a thumping kick give rise to the to self proclaimed "King of ROQ's" club-bumping trademark. Rounding out the record Southern Comfort and The FADER enlisted Japanese artist Tomoe Hamaya to ninjafy the cover.
