Stanley Jordan, known for his "tapping" technique to achieve a level of orchestral complexity with his guitar, equaling that of a keyboard instrument, has signed exclusively to the Detroit-based Mack Avenue Records. Recorded at Narada Michael Walden's Tarpan Studios in San Raphael, California, a CD is set for release on February 12, 2008. Featured on the recording with Jordan are bassist Charnett Moffett and drummer David Haynes.

"Forming good collaborations is a lot like composing music," Jordan states. "Everything has to fit just right. That's why I'm excited to be part of the Mack Avenue family. This is the new label on the cutting edge. I have a lot of new music to share with my audience and I'm pleased to know it will get the best care and attention."
