September 10, 2007Metal Hammer Weekend at U.K. Guitar Instituteby Staff. London's Guitar Institute, a part of the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, recently hosted a weekend of metal guitar instruction sponsored by Metal Hammer magazine that featured visiting tutor Andreas Kisser of Sepultura and guest artists Pin and Dan from Sikth who also performed for the students. Co-sponsors Peavey and Line 6 awarded prizes to the weekend's top student shredders with Alistair Bell receiving the top prize, a Peavey Windsor Half Stack signed by the guest instructors and Morgan Taper winning a Line 6 POD XT as the runner-up.
