Guitar Legends Rendezvous for Workshops at Jazz Improv LIVE! 2007 Convention and Festival

If there's anything you need to know about jazz guitar, two of the most revered and articulate masters of the instrument - Pat Martino and Jimmy Bruno - will each be conducting workshops on Saturday October 27 at the First Annual Jazz Improv LIVE! 2007 - The One International Convention & Festival For Jazz Fans - October 25-28, at The New Yorker Hotel and Manhattan Center, 34th Street & 8th Avenue, across from Penn Station, New York City. These two jazz guitar legends will offer tips about technique and improvisation, and share their immense wisdom and experience about the business, music, history and personalities. This rendezvous of guitar legends, and much more, will take place at the First Annual Jazz Improv LIVE! 2007 Convention & Festival, October 25-28, at The New Yorker Hotel and Manhattan Center, 34th Street & 8th Avenue, across from Penn Station, New York City. The event will feature almost 100 performances by legendary icons and emerging artists, on multiple stages, all day and evening. 80 panels and workshops are scheduled, and there will be a 15,000 square foot music expo area. Pat Martino - Over the past 40 years Pat Martino has performed with a wide variety of artists including Sonny Stitt, Gene Ammons, Chick Corea, Jack McDuff, Stanley Clark, Woody Herman and many others. His recordings appear on various labels including Prestige, Warner Brothers, Muse, High Note, Milestone, and others. His current releases are on Blue Note Records.

Jimmy Bruno began his professional career in Philadelphia. 30 years later, Maplewood Avenue marks his 13th recording as a leader, following releases on Concord, Mel Bay and other labels. He teaches at the University of the Arts.
