Instructional DVDs from Guitar Greats Steve Morse and Keith Wyatt

Press release
Source: Alfred Publishing

Alfred’s Artist series features a wide array of DVD’s from true experts in their musical profession. The collection would not be complete without these two new DVD’s featuring blues expert Keith Wyatt and award-winning guitar master Steve Morse.

Keith Wyatt has spent decades studying the styles of major rock and blues artists. A graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology’s first class, he went on to join the faculty, help develop the curriculum, and later serve as the GIT Director of Programs. Keith’s years as a renowned educator have given him unique insight into the best ways of developing and teaching phrasing and style. Rockin’ the Blues teaches the development of blues style by guiding viewers through the phrasing and feel of traditional blues and its open relationship to rock. Keith covers shuffle rhythms, open string licks, call and response phrasing, target notes, intros, turnarounds and endings, plus many traditional blues phrases. Keith’s inspirational playing and demonstrations help build a rock solid foundation for the blues.

Voted five-time winner for Guitar Player magazine’s “Best Overall Guitarist,” and a member of the prestigious Gallery of the Greats, Steve Morse continues to be one of the world’s most inventive players. His talent has been celebrated for over 30 years in his successful solo career and in his time spent as a member of the Dixie Dregs, Kansas , Deep Purple, and his own Steve Morse Band. Steve has played solo performances at Carnegie Hall, appeared on multiple television shows, and written and performed on four Grammy Award-nominated albums. In Power Lines, viewers learn Steve’s personal warm-up exercises, how to add chromatic ideas to guitar playing, and his system for playing three-note-per-string scales, sequences, and arpeggios. Steve also reveals his unique method for playing polyphonic scales and melody lines. Exciting solo performances throughout the DVD inspire any guitarist to create his or her own power lines.

Build your collection now with both DVD’s! Keith Wyatt: Rockin’ the Blues and Steve Morse: Power Lines are available for $29.95 each. Obtain your copy at your local retail store or log on to www.alfred.com to find the location nearest you.
