Guild Highlights Several Guitars at 2007 Summer NAMM

Guild will highlight several instruments at the 2007 Summer NAMM Show in its Contemporary Acoustics line and Traditional Series. Of special interest is the Contemporary Series Willie Porter Signature Model whose worked with Guild to create a unique acoustic-electric guitar.

The Guild CO-2 (acoustic) and CO-2C (acoustic/electric cutaway) guitars are the next generation of Guild’s revolutionary Contemporary Series, and are orchestra-size guitars with vintage F-30 body styles. Orchestra-size guitars with vintage F-30 body style and the patent pending Guild® Graphite Neck Block System. Crafted with solid red spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, Guild graphite neck block system, bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, abalone dot inlays, ivoroid body binding. Acoustic guitar stylist, and alternate tuning wizard Willy Porter has teamed up with Guild to create the Willy Porter Signature Model acoustic/electric guitar. The Guild DV-6 and DV-4 models a value driven, U.S.-made, all-solid wood dreadnought guitar for players who need a larger, vintage-style instrument at an affordable price; a Traditional Series guitar for players who want the great Guild tone from the early 1960s and Fingerstyle and flat-pick players who need an instrument with great volume and excellent note articulation. The affordable DV guitars are made in Tacoma, Wash. and feature vintage dreadnought styling, sold spruce top, mahogany bck and sides (DV-4), rosewood back and sides (DV-6), bone nuts and saddles and a hand-rubbed satin gel varnish finish.
