Gibson Guitar, the world’s premiere musical instrument manufacturer and Gibson’s distributor Rosetti hosted a special Larry Carlton guitar master class in the intimate setting of the Gibson Guitar Studio on Friday 13th July. Gibson Custom signature artist and legendary Grammy winning jazz musician Larry Carlton otherwise known as Mr.ES-335 is currently on tour promoting his new Greatest Hits Recorded, Volume One album which took in two nights at London’s Jazz Café and further dates in Europe and Japan.

This was a very special guitar master class which provides a rare opportunity for fans of the guitar and Larry Carlton to host an intimate question and answer session on his highly regarded guitar techniques. Questions ranged from Larry’s early music inspirations to his relationship with Gibson Guitar. He played various guitar solo’s and some of his famed guitar licks from his Grammy winning back catalogue to a receptive full house. This was a brief insight into one of the world’s greatest Jazz guitarists and recording artists. Larry was joined onstage by his bass playing son Travis Carlton and two lucky members of the audience to jam alongside them. Following the two hour set Larry signed copies of his new album and posed for pictures with his fans.

Larry Carlton’s Signature Gibson ES 335 is the perfect guitar for any musical setting. The guitar features all the personal specs of the man known as Mr.ES-335 from the custom '68 neck profile on a '69 body to the “Carlton Burst” finish. This Gibson Custom signature guitar is already proving to become another classic model and a must for any Larry Carlton enthusiast.
