Martin Guitar Introduces the Special Edition OMC Artinger 1

Matt Artinger, guitar builder and owner of Artinger Custom Guitars, has announced that after two years of collaboration and development, C.F. Martin & Company is introducing the Martin Special Edition OMC Artinger 1. The model is a cutaway with some Martin firsts including a slanted oval soundhole, a matching side port that increases the volume and gives the player an accurate monitor of what the listener is hearing out front, an armrest bevel, a scalloped nut, koa binding and brushed aluminum fret markers.

I had a chance to play the Martin OMC Artinger 1 prototype a few weeks ago when I visited Matt’s workshop and the guitar is outstanding in all respects, in addition to being very cool looking. The model's specs are available at the Martin Guitar Company and Artinger Custom Guitars websites.
