Peavey Custom Shop Guitar and OCC Chopper to Tour

With summer around the corner, it's no surprise when celebrity guitarists announce their group's summer concert schedule, but it's not every day you hear about a guitar getting ready to go on tour. Peavey Electronics will send a Custom Shop instrument (photo) on the road this June with a custom-built motorcycle from Orange County Choppers that sports the Peavey logo, a guitar case, and a built in guitar amplifier, the Custom Shop Meets Custom Shop Tour. The joint project aired during two episodes of the TLC series American Chopper in April. Tour dates and locations will be announced by Peavey soon.

"Rock 'n' roll and motorcycle culture have always drawn from the same primal power," said Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics, "so we had a lot of common ground to draw from when we designed the Peavey Custom Shop OCC guitar. I think that riders and players alike will appreciate the attitude and expertise that Peavey and OCC brought to this project."

Since its television debut on American Chopper, the bike and guitar have appeared on The Late Night Show with David Letterman and Fox & Friends.
