Power Chord Academy

Power Chord Academy, the nation's leading summer program for amateur musician training, has teamed up with industry leading music instrument manufacturers Zildjian, Epiphone, Daisy Rock Guitars, Shure and Kustom for an exciting gear-giveaway promotion. At Power Chord Academy, developing musicianship and building confidence are top priorities, and providing students with brand new quality gear is a great first step towards this goal.

"The Avedis Zildjian Company is committed to creating and educating young drummers,” says Cady Zildjian of namesake, time-honored cymbal company. “We are thrilled to work with Power Chord Academy and very excited to help provide all aspiring young drummers with our Zildjian ZBT- Pro cymbal set. Rock on!"

All newly enrolled students participating in any one of Power Chord Academy’s nationwide summer sessions for 2007 will have their choice of a Zildjian ZBT PRO cymbal set, an Epiphone SG Special guitar, an Epiphone EB-0 bass, a portable Kustom PA, a Shure SM-58 microphone, or a Daisy Rock Rebel Rockit Heart guitar. Initial response to the PCA gear giveaway promotion has been overwhelming!

About Power Chord Academy:
Since its inception in 1999, Power Chord Academy has witnessed an exponential growth directly attributable to the intrinsic value of the acclaimed curriculum, where dedicated musicians ages 12-18 are put through the most inspirational, educational, and intensive week of their young careers.

PCA attendees get to experience a week of being virtual rock stars! Students get to form a band with their peers, write songs with a producer, professionally record a CD single, film an MTV-caliber music video, and perform several concerts with a pro audio team dialing in sound. Additionally, students receive in-depth information on the intricacies of the music industry.

Every week at Power Chord Academy, famous touring bands and industry representatives come out to our 7 nationwide camp locations to impart guidance, inspiration and technical pointers to a completely captive audience of aspiring teen musicians.

Guests currently scheduled to perform/speak at PCA this summer include: Multi-platinum Warped Tour headliners Yellowcard, Halifax, Five For Fighting, Under The Influence OF Giants, The Junior Varsity, Radio 4, The Higher, River City Rebels, The Rx Bandits, Northern State, Oxford Collapse, Four Letter Lie, The Phenomenauts, 1997, x-Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna and guest speakers from MTV, Fearless Records, Side One Dummy Records, ASCAP, Alternative Press Magazine, art-rock innovators Devo and more TBA!
