Gibson Guitar Supports 18th East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay, Australia

Gibson Guitar the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and leader in music technology announced its support of the 18th Annual International East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay, Australia. The five day Blues and Roots festival takes place between 5th and 9th April, 2007.

Many of the world’s greatest Blues, Roots, Jazz and established artists will take to the four various stages to perform to an audience of over 100,000 people during the five days of world class live music. The much heralded Australian rock band and Gibson Guitar artist Wolfmother will headline on the Mojo stage on Thursday 5th April.

This years festival will once again see a host of famous and highly regarded international artists perform such as Larry Carlton, Paolo Nutini, The Magic Numbers, John Mayer, Taj Mahal, Ziggy Marley, The Roots, Lee Scratch Perry, Bonnie Rait, Bo Diddley, Papa Jam, Wiley Reed, Hacienda Brothers, Soulman, Xavier Rudd, Gomez, Ben Kweller, John Butler Trio, Ben Harper and British soul sensation Joss Stone to name a few.

Making a welcome return to the Blues Fest are the Gibson Guitar All Stars (The Flood). The Gibson Guitar All Stars are an enigmatic Sydney based four piece group with a string of successful albums behind them. Their music is ‘Americana’ in style – in the tradition of Dylan, Neil Young and The Jayhawks - while still reflecting the Australian experience in a unique way. They will perform on the Jambalaya Stage - Friday 6th April at 12.30pm, Saturday 7th April at 10.00pm and Monday 9th April at 2.45pm.
