Rock 'N' Roll Music Camp for Teens Expands Nationwide for Summer 2007

Press release
Source: Power Chord Academy

Power Chord Academy

Power Chord Academy, the nation's leading summer camp for amateur musician training, has expanded its critically acclaimed program to include new locations in San Francisco, Boston, Seattle and Chicago with established sites in New York, San Diego, and St. Louis for summer 2007.

About Power Chord Academy:
Since its inception in 1999, Power Chord Academy has witnessed an exponential growth directly attributable to the intrinsic value of the acclaimed curriculum, where dedicated musicians ages 12-18 are put through the most
inspirational, educational, and intensive week of their young careers.

PCA attendees get to experience a virtual week of being rock stars! Students get to form a band with their peers, write songs with a producer, professionally record a CD single, film an MTV caliber music video and perform several concerts with a pro audio team dialing in sound. Additionally, students receive in-depth information on the intricacies of the music industry.

"Power Chord Academy is honestly one of the most rewarding things I've ever been involved with" say's Executive Director Zak Einstein. "After years of working in the jaded and cynical music business, getting to mentor fresh-faced, clean-slated kids who just want to ROCK is very refreshing. It gives me hope for the future of music."

Students receive guidance, inspiration, technical pointers and exclusive performances from some of today's most renowned and influential bands and industry moguls. This is truly a dream experience for teen musicians! Past PCA guests include: Rise Against, the All-American Rejects, Unwritten Law, The Donnas, Sugarcult, Bayside, Powerman 5000, Supersuckers, members of 311, The Mars Volta, New Found Glory, P.O.D., Thrice & special guests from MTV, Atlantic Records, ASCAP, Joe Escalante from LA's Indie 103.1FM, Atlantic Records, Epitaph Records, and many more!

2007 Power Chord Academy guests will be announced shortly!
