Scarlett Pomers

Scarlett Pomers is not only a talented actress but an inspiring singer songwriter who is committed to improving the quality of life for those with eating disorders. The 18 year old is proud to announce, through her charity Arch-Angels, she has raised $7300.00 to benefit the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). For this special auction Minarik Guitars, who also endorses the songstress and musician, donated a Fireburst Goddess guitar.

An anonymous bidder now owns a piece of music history, after a winning bid of $7300.00, brought home the multi-star autographed Minarik Fireburst Goddess Guitar. The auction was held on e-bay from February 25 through March 7, with 100 % of the auction’s proceeds benefiting The National Eating Disorders Association. Signatures on the guitar are actress, singer songwriter Scarlett Pomers, rock icons and living legends Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette and Terri Nunn of Berlin, country music stars Reba McEntire & Sara Evans, heavy metal icons Rob Zombie & Motorhead, alternative rock bands Lit, Hoobastank & Queens of the Stone Age, drummer Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals), world renowned guitarist Steve Vai, and Goth-rock band from Milan, Italy Lacuna Coil.

Arch-Angels was established by Pomers to benefit NEDA, an organization that is committed to educating the public about the serious nature and growing prevalence of eating disorders. Pomers is also an ambassador for NEDA and has lent her voice along with Paula Abdul and Wyonna Judd to a PSA campaign that is currently airing nationally on Clear Channel radio stations.

Pomers' television credits include guest roles on Judging Amy, Providence, Touched By An Angel and three seasons on Star Trek: Voyager. She recently wrapped up shooting her sixth season as Reba McEntire’s youngest daughter Kyra on the CW’s sitcom Reba. Her film career started at age 5 when she landed her first feature role as Suzi Barret in The Babysitters Club. More films followed with roles in Happy Texas, Mighty Joe Young, Slappy and the Stinkers, Geppetto and the Julia Roberts hit Erin Brockovich. She spent six weeks in Australia playing Mischa Barton’s sister in the Disney Channel movie A Ring of Endless Light. She has also appeared in over fifty commercials. For her acting performances Pomers has received five Young Artist Awards, including Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Star Trek: Voyager.

You can see Pomers as Kyra Hart on the hit show Reba Sunday nights on the new CW network and in syndication daily on the Lifetime Network.

Pomers recently released, from their EP Project Chains, “The Chain” (a remake of Fleetwood Mac’s mega hit) along with alt rocker JAK PARIS, that bulleted to # 3 on ACQB (Hot AC radio). Proceeds of “The Chain” will benefit NEDA. See: www.projectchains.com and www.jakparis.com.

The multi-talented singer/songwriter has been busy the last few years with her successful acting career and now enjoys working on her budding music career. She is currently working on a full-length album and recently her song "Sweet Lunacy" was heard on MTV’s hit show Laguna Beach.
