Women Who Rock: Closing the Gender Gap

In 2000, the year Tish Ciravolo (interview) founded Daisy Rock Guitars, women accounted for only 5% of the guitar buying market. By 2006, that figure doubled and women may now be the fastest growing market segment, thanks in part to an increase in the media exposure given to female players. On February 20, 2006, MSNBC's Today Show aired a segment in which Ciravolo and Janet Robin (interview) talk with Today's Maria Menounos about how women are entering the playing field "one little girl at a time."
