January 23, 2007In Stores: New CDs from Black Diamond Heavies and The Bloody HolliesPress release The debut from southern punk-ass bluesmen Black Diamond Heavies Every Damn Time and The Bloody Hollies' Who to Trust, Who to Kill, Who to Love, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed Alive Records debut are now available in stores today. Catch both bands on the road during their U.S. tours in support. Confirmed tour itineraries are below. Black Diamond Heavies debut release Every Damn Time has been gaining momentum on their quest to unleash their punk-ass blues on the world. Their music is urgent, raw and full of ass-shaking soul. The live show has been described as both "Pentecostal" and "Demon-Possessed". Black Diamond Heavies are a two-piece consisting of John Wesley Myers on bass keys, fender rhodes, organ, and vocals (left hand of rhythm, right hand of soul) and Van Campbell completing the lineup on drums and vocals. The Bloody Hollies are back once again to remind everyone what "rock n roll" is really all about. Their unique sound is truly one that needs to be heard to understand that this isn't just another throw back 60's garage yawnfest, or moppy haired riff crazy classic rock rip off. This album is the embodiment of the no frills, off the cuff, blues punk rock that The Bloody Hollies are admired for. They do what they do with skill, perfection, and flat out better than anyone else. The Bloody Hollies are Wesley Doyle (Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica), Joey Horgen (Guitar), Troy Troyus (Bass, Organ, Accordion) and Matthew Bennett (Drums).
