Slash inducted into Hollywood RockWalk

On January 17, 2007, Slash, Ronnie James Dio, and Terry Bozzio were inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk, a sidewalk gallery dedicated to honoring artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of rock 'n' roll, blues, and R&B. The three join previous RockWalk inductees such as Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder,John Lee Hooker and Earth Wind & Fire.

The induction ceremony, which was free and open to the public, took place at 7425 Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood, California, in front of the Hollywood Guitar Center, which sponors Hollywood's RockWalk.

Photographer Robert M. Knight captured the moment. Modern Guitars magazine has published 12 images from the event by Knight, including photos of Slash, Ronnie James Dio, Terry Bozzio, Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Slash's family, Sarah Kelly, and, Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver).

About Photographer Robert M. Knight:
Raised in Hawaii, based in Los Angeles, Robert is a long time advertising/travel photographer who also specializes in the rock and roll music industry. His career spans from 1968 's to the present. Constantly working in the music industry for international record companies, publications, and musical equipment manufacturers, Robert is best known for his "Guitar Legend" archive, having worked with such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, to such contemporary artists as John Mayer, Tom Morello, and John-5. Robert is also part of Guitar Center's Hollywood RockWalk team, working alongside RockWalk Director Dave Weiderman. Robert and partner Maryanne Bilham have an exhibition on the outside of the more than 150 Guitar Centers around America, which is one of the largest outdoor gallery shows of original photographic art.
