Sammy Hagar Celebrates at Cabo Wabo - New Side Project Rumored

Rock legend, entrepreneur, tequila aficionado, owner of the Cabo Wabo Cantinas, former Van Halen front man-- and now soon to be Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee-- Sammy Hagar celebrated his wife Kari’s 40th birthday party at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Saturday, January 6, 2007, with friends and family including Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Pepper and former Van Halen bassist and fellow 2007 Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Michael Anthony. It is rumored that these three rock icons will be starting a “power trio” side project with a clever moniker of “Chicken Foot.” In honor of Kari’s 1976 birth date, the celebration had a disco-era party theme. Cabo Wabo rocked in the New Year with an impromptu visit and performance by Michael Bolton and fiancée Nicollette Sheridan.

It was announced yesterday that Hagar, along with former Van Halen band mates as well as preceding front man, David Lee Roth, will be inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame at a black tie ceremony in New York on March 12, 2007.
