While the pick's circuit board, designed and manufactured by the Santa Cruz Light Wells company, won't pluck the strings for you, it can display a light show or a light pulse that serves as a metronome. But, in addition to visual appeal, the manufacturer believes the Light Pick represents an advance in basic guitar plectrum design.
