Computerized Guitar Pick Demo on TasteTV

It's called the Light Pick. While the pick's circuit board, designed and manufactured by the Santa Cruz Light Wells company, won't pluck the strings for you, it can display a light show or a light pulse that serves as a metronome. But, in addition to visual appeal, the manufacturer believes the Light Pick represents an advance in basic guitar plectrum design. "This high performance guitar pick features our new string shock technology (SST). This design feature allows the tip to absorb a large percentage of string shock while playing, and the result is an ergonomic kick that helps propel the arm for the next strike. The Light Pick™ has a replaceable tip that is responsive while increasing one's accuracy, harmonics, timbre, and timing. The Light Pick™ is contoured to the thumb and index finger so the player has an ergonomic hold on the pick for hours of playing. The Light Pick™ can also add to the performance by illuminating a variety of colors." TasteTV has posted a video that explains and demonstrates the Light Pick.
