Marines with G&L Guitars

BBE Sound Inc., parent company of legendary guitar manufacturer, G&L, last Thursday, sent Paul Gagon, vice president of engineering, and Chris Locke, Communications Director, to Camp Pendleton, where they presented a pair of G&L Tribute Series guitars to the Armed Services YMCA on behalf of the Camp Pendleton Wounded Warrior Center. The Center is a temporary barracks for injured troops who’ve left the hospital but are still unable to return to active military duty. It is here that Marines undergo further medical care, physical therapy and counseling.

“Many of the Marines that come through here on a regular basis are musicians,” noted Colonel George Brown, USMC (Ret), Executive Director of the Armed Services YMCA. “So these guitars will go a long way towards providing a great deal of pleasure and music therapy for the troops.”

“We are pleased to play a small part in improving the quality of life for the troops who pass through the doors of the Wounded Warrior Center,” said Gagon. “We hope the Marines enjoy these guitars during their stay at the Center.”

To learn more about how to donate to the Wounded Warrior Center, contact George Brown at (760) 385-4921.
