Jim Eigo to Discuss Promoting Yourself Online

Jim Eigo

What most musicians know: The Internet is the quickest and most cost effective way to promote yourself or your group. What few musicians know: How to do it effectively. Every Tom, Dick and Harry can publish a website, post a MySpace page and unleash a flood of email announcements, which is exactly what every Tom, Dick and Harry has done. On Tuesday, December 5, 2006, Chamber Music America in collaboration with Midtown Arts Common and the Jazz Ministry at Saint Peter’s in New York City will present a free seminar by jazz industry expert Jim Eigo titled Promote Yourself: Web-based Marketing. The event is part of CMA's First Tuesday Professional Development Seminar series for musicians (more info). Eigo is a seasoned Internet-focused music marketing pro and one of the very few email broadcasters relied on by most music publications. The seminar takes place 3 - 5 p.m. at NYC's St. Peters Church (Lexington Avenue at 54th Street).
