John Mayer and Slash Promote the Ultimate Road Trip

While the association among music, cars and guitars is nothing new, the association between Volkswagen of American and First Act Guitars is. From October 3, 2006, U.S. buyers of a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, Jetta GLI, GTI, Rabbit, New Beetle or New Beetle Convertible will receive a customized First Act GarageMaster electric guitar that can be played through the car's audio system. Each guitar will display the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the owner's Volkswagen on the neck plate and have a custom-colored pickguard complementing the exterior of the car. The guitar will feature a traditional Volkswagen logo and "V Dub" inlay, a guitar strap made of safety belts, VW knobs, a prominent blue indicator light that matches the trademark instrument panel lighting of Volkswagen vehicles, VW logo guitar picks and a carrying case.
