Gibson Guitar to Jam 2006 Austin City Limits Festival

Gibson Guitar, the world's premiere musical instrument manufacturer announced sponsorship of the Austin City Limits Festival in Zilker Park, Austin, TX. Austin City Limits, which takes place September 15th – 17th, 2006 is a three-day festival with over 100 acts scheduled to perform. In 2005, Austin City Limits was voted music festival of the Year. The lineup includes several Gibson artists including Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Willie Nelson, Massive Attack, Gnarls Barkley, Ben Harper, The Flaming Lips, The Shins, String Cheese Incident and many more.

Gibson Guitar will participate in the consumer interactive area with eleven (11) interactive guitar stations with a selection of Gibson USA and Epiphone guitars, each providing the guitar lover with their own opportunity to jam and play like their favorite rock star. Gibson Guitar will once again participate in the guitar “Petting Zoo,” with five interactive guitar stations featuring the Gibson Baldwin Music Education series of instruments for all children attending.

As part of the company sponsorship, Gibson Guitar will also supply tech support at the main stage giving support to all artists. The popular Gibson Tour bus will be on site serving as an artist relations lounge for the many Gibson artists that will be performing at the festival this year and a special interview backdrop for all press.
