REBA Star, Scarlett Pomers, to be Honored at the Las Vegas Music Awards

The Las Vegas Music Awards committee will honor 17 year old actress, singer/songwriter Scarlett Pomers at its annual awards show on September 2, 2006 at the Clark County Theatre in Las Vegas, NV. Pomers will be presented the “Outstanding Contribution To Raise Awareness Through Music” achievement award for her collaboration with Las Vegas alt rocker JAK PARIS and the remake of Fleetwood Mac’s mega hit “The Chain” benefiting Pomers’ charity Arch-Angels, under the National Eating Disorders Association.

"The Chain", released from their album Project Chains, hit radio just eight weeks ago and has already bulleted to # 18 on ACQB and is still rising.

Already a veteran in film and television, Pomers has entered the world of music with the same vigor and energy. Her live performances have included shows at The Roxy, B.B. King's, The Knitting Factory, and The Whiskey in Los Angeles that has received nothing but rave reviews. Her raw, gutsy and innovative talent has been noted by the music industry giving her opportunities to work with some of the best writers and producers in the biz. She is currently working on an EP with the world-renowned Robb Brothers and Cherokee Studios.

Pomers will be performing "The Chain" with JAK PARIS, who will receive the 2006 Debut Artist of the Year award and has been nominated for Song of the Year for his hit single N.B.D. (Not Back Down).
