Artists Unite for Lobby Loyde Benefit Concert

On August 29, 2006, The Wild Cherries will reunite in a benefit concert for guitarist Lobby Loyde (John Baslington Lyde), who is suffering from lung cancer, at the Palace in St. Kilda (Melbourne, Australia). Madder Lake, Wendy Saddington, the Masters Apprentices and Jimmy Barnes are also scheduled to perform. Loyde was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame this year and was one of the first successful songwriters to use Melbourne ("That's Life", 1968) as the backdrop. Story.
