Gibson Guitar celebrated its 3-day (July 28-30) 2006 Summer Jam extravaganza that included top music acts, guitar workshops, and the grand opening of its new Custom factory and headquarters at 1612 Elm Hill Pike Drive, Nashville, Tennessee. Among the featured performers were Cheap Trick, Lee Roy Parnell, Gretchen Wilson and Devon Allman. Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen displayed both his signature technique and several beauties from his guitar collection. Other notable events included a rare guitar clinic held by Larry Carlton and a regional qualifying round of the 6th annual Fortune Battle of the Corporate Bands.
