2006 Summer NAMM Photo Gallery: Day Three

by Jeff Carmack; photos by Eileen Llorente.

The 2006 NAMM Summer Session closed its three-day run in the Austin Convention Center Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2006. About 20,000 music products industry pros from around the world attended and more than 500 companies exhibited.

A random sample of exhibitors and attendees expressed great enthusiasm for Austin, which hosted the Summer Session for the first time this year. Several exhibitors said they hoped the association would hold the session here again. Though for the first time in 21 years PRS Guitars didn't exhibit at the NAMM Summer Session, Paul Reed Smith was there and was favorably impressed by the Summer Session's move to Austin. “I think coming to Austin was a good idea. The town had a great vibe and if they hold it here again next year, we may do things differently,” Smith said.

The 2007 Winter NAMM Show will take place January 18–21, 2007, in Anaheim, California.
